Keep Moving Forward by Sebastian
August 14, 2008As the summer free time comes skidding to a halt in the coming weeks, I felt that it came time to write a blog. It’s been too long my friends. And although this mysterious free time I speak of showed itself in the form of project after project, setting up my new apartment, and living in the lonesome of such a lair, it was a welcomed period of pseudo-relaxation.
So let’s just say that it was a long summer. Had a project that I just finished up Monday. It is being taken to L.A. by one of my professors and being shown in a conference. Sweet!
My apartment, as great as those bare floors and white walls are, is finally starting to get those voids filled. The lush comforts of couches and a bed that took five weeks to arrive are finally adding themselves to my arsenal of creature comforts. I just need to do a little decorating for my room — feel free to send me a PM if you’re interested in helping out with ideas!
On another, more interesting, note… I REALLY WANT TO GET BACK ON PCHATS, I’ve just been busy out of my mind lately. A lot of things are going on back home right now, and my family is going through an extremely rough time. So please help me with your patience and prayers. I’m not going to write specifics on the blog, so if you are interested you can ask in private. There is no reason for people to feel badly, I’m holdin’ strong and gonna keep movin’ forward — disney quote unintentional.
That mumbo jumbo said, I’ll look forward to seeing you at my chat tonight at 10:30! And maybe doing some pchats for ya in the near future. If you really want a pchat… send me a PM and we can set up a time and date. That’s the best way to contact me.
Thanks!

December 28, 2007Hey Guys,
I have been getting an abundance of messages along the lines of “Where have you been Sebby my boy?!” and “what do you think of an elephant riding a unicycle on a beach ball which is situated on a floating platform in the middle of the ocean while juggling?” (The latter of the two questions being the least common for some reason).
Anyways, all jokes aside. I’ve been home from school since the 13th of December. Being at home makes it a bit of a task to get online for pchats, and for that I apologize. Before that I had finals which drank most of my time for the past month or so. However, as a consequence, I will be trying to get online a lot more this coming semester, starting early January. I return to school on the 31st, and will certainly be making an appearance soon after that.
I hope everyone’s holidays treated them fairly and did little harm. Mine were fine, some family issues that I’ve been dealing with for a while now, but other than that they were relatively uneventful. I’m ready to return to school though, and it’s pleasant that it is happening in a few days.
Take Care, Happy Holidays, God Bless, and so on…

December 20, 2007Hey guys!
My holiday expeditions have brought me home for the holidays, leaving the warm pseudo-southern 70-degree weather for the blistering chills of the north. Finals are finally finished, and thankfully their punishment was kept to a minimum, as hellish as they were. I’ve been home for about a week now, having survived my eight-hour trek and now I’m already itching to return to school.
I filled in for Marc yesterday, technical difficulties bit him in the ass at the most inconvenient time—for him anyways. I was able to salvage a last-minute masterpiece of a show for everyone to enjoy. It’s about as easy to get online while I’m at home as it is to walk through the snow barefoot, yet another reason I’d like to get back to school. So hopefully now that finals are done doing dastardly deeds with my time I should be able to get online for everyone… so look for me!
On a side note, I’ve been getting a few requests for photo shoots. And go figure, both of ‘em stood me up this weekend! Oh well. Free weekend to do a whole lot… of nothing. It’ll give me some time to write a script I have to work on for Jan 4th.
I’ve been given a $6000 budget to make a film for the MultiCultural Center at my university and I’m producing it and directing one of the vignettes. It is comprised of eight three-minute vignettes that deal with diversity issues, and my job is to make it amazing without being campy and over-the-top. My vignette is Physical or Learning Disabilities, but others include Race, Sexual Orientation, Gender, National Origin, Culture, and so on. It’s a pretty big task, and to get a budget in college is a HUGE deal so I’m very proud of that. So I have that I’m going to be working on this spring and winter. Should be fun though, just a bit of work on top of classes.
My classes are pretty classy this semester though, I’m somewhat excited (lame eh?). I’m taking an acting class which should be fun. Then there’s Narrative Directing, an Animation class, Self Defense (for extra creds since I probably know it already), and a Screenwriting class. It may be a lot of work, but it’ll be worth it I’m sure. I’ll do my best to make a lot more time to get online for ya’ll. My goal is trying to get on for an hour or so a day around 10 or 11pm EST. I guess we’ll see how that goes.
So that’s what I’m up to at the moment. Workin’ hard and hardly workin’. Just remember: wherever you go, there you are.
Take care everyone and happy holidays!
Best Wishes,
Sebastian
