I got in last night really late. There was a 3 1/2 hour delay for my flight into Boston. It sucked, but the good thing was that I got home safely and that is what is most important. I hate flying anyways because it just freaks me out. What sucked even worse was when we finally arrived in Boston (in the air) we had to fly around in circles for an extra 50 minutes because the runway was backed up. So when we finally got the clearance to land I am looking out my window, and looking at the plane info screen that tell us how high you are… I see that we are 200 feet in the air… the problem? I look out my window and I can’t see the ground! It was soooo cloudy with snow that all I saw was orange colored clouds. When we finally got ready to land about 100 feet, I saw the runway… COVERED IN SNOW! I was like ohhh my shiizzz we are going to skid out and crash. Luckily (thank god) we landed sooo smooth and I was soooo thankful to be safe. It times like that where you really appreciate being alive. I know it sounds weird and corny, but being kind of scared like that knowing that your life is out of your hands, and you have no control of what is happening… is sooo scary, that it made me appreciate being alive so much more. It has honestly motivated me in all aspects of my life just by flying again. The problem is it has happened before with me and you start to forget again how great life really is. I then start to get lazy again and da da da wasting life away sometimes. You have to live life to it’s fullest and really not waste it sitting around sometimes. Hopefully with the new year comming and me being a baby with flying, I will put this realization to good use, and just improve myself and my life all together. I’m not saying my life is bad now, or that I am wasting it, but rather there is always more you can do to enjoy it more, and that little extra effort you can get to really appreciate life. If you have ever seen fight club when brad pitt takes the super market cleark and brings him outside and threatens to take his life, he then lets him go. He then says that tomorrow when the guy eats his breakfast it will be the best tasting meal he has ever had. Better than anything we have ever tasted. It’s true! If you think about it… if you were about to die, and you were given a second chance, life would seem so much sweeter.. even if it’s the same life. So my holiday message to all of you is really look at the world… not society but the planet. Look at the food you eat, the things you have, and just yourself being healthy. Really look! You’ve seen it all your life so you stop actually really looking. Pretend its your first time seeing it. That is when you truely look at everything and realize how special and fortunate you are. Enjoy it guys, enjoy life to the best of your ability, you only get one chance at it, even some bad times are better than no times. Happy holidays to you all, and I hope you start getting outside more and walking and just enjoying the world around you!
