Well my friend was supposed to come over tonight.  We were going to go out to dinner and then see a movie out or come back to my place and watch one.  Then she was just gonna stay the night and chill with me tomorrow some and then leave in the afternoon.  Well I was all ready waiting for her call and I finally got it.  Well she said that her boss offered her a chance to work tomorrow morning and would pay her more then normal.  She told me she really needed the money so she was just going to stay home and go work tomorrow.  I totally understand if you need money to pay bills and stuff but this was the 3rd time she did something like this to me so now im just done with her!  Im pissed cuz i didnt make any other plans and now im posting this all alone on a Friday night.  Good thing GWC/HMG/CWH has been keeping me occupied…….

On a brighter note I should be fixing up my laptop tomorrow now since ill have free time.  This means wireless baby!

Brilliant! by steve

Ok well I’ve been quite the busy beaver lately.  Between the sites, taxes, the holidays and other stuff I can’t think of right now…life is crazy.  I want another Spring Break!  Taxes took me by surprise this year.  I didn’t think I owed as much as I did…*sigh*.  I guess unless you get a refund, it’s not that fun regardless.  Anyways, today I thought of a revolutionary idea for the members of GWC (and the girl version CWH).  I can not divulge the info just yet but it’s really friggin cool and somewhat revolutionary.  I’m a genius.

On another note, thanks to my roomate’s girlfriend’s cooking, I broke the 145 lb barrier finally.  I haven’t been this heavy since my early 20′s.  I’m packin on the lbs now, it feels good to step on the scale and see the numbers grow again.

To help celebrate the recent and upcoming spring break material, I asked the guys to share on their favorite spring break memories.

 Blake’s take,

“Hahaha, how about i cant remember.”

Steve said,

“I’ll respond now so I don’t forget…I wouldn’t say it’s my best spring break memory but the one that stands out the most is the one where the old guy drugged us and we gang banged his secratary…brings a smile to my face just thinking about it…”

SAY WHAT!!!  Lol, ok that was a joke, just teasing.  What Steve actually said was…

I’ll respond now so I don’t forget…I wouldn’t say it’s my best spring break memory but the one that stands out the most is the one where the old guy drugged us and wanted us to gang bang his secratary…by far the most memorable spring break memory I think for us all.  If you don’t already know about the story check out the spring break post in the forums…we talk all about it smiley Camguy Poll, Spring Break Memories

So the store where I get my protein is closing due to a leasing issue.  Sucks because I really liked the place and saved a lot of money, plus the guys were cool (and the girl that worked there wasn’t too bad either hehe).  The good news is everything was 40% off and I went today and unloaded on tons of protein and suppliments to get back in gear and to the shhhwing of thangggssss.  I just got home from the gym I actually did a ridiculous 3 hour chest work out and I am about to go take some of my post work out nutrition that I bought today.  I am so excited to start packin on some lean meat and to start looking really good for the summer.  Hopefully you will all see more of that soon!  So all in all it was a sad day to see the store come to an end, but ends are just the start of a new beginning and I should be starting to lean mass it up very shortly.  Da da da d a da dhats all folks!

Hey everyone, in a move to give fans more insight into the camguys and their lives, Im gonna do a series of articles looking at the fellas and their sporting lives.  First up, Blake graciously answered some of my questions about surfing and the part it plays in his life.  Here is Blakes take on surfing.

blake7kq Out of Bounds, Camguys and Sports, Blake

Hey Blake, lets start with the basics, how long have you been surfing and how did you get started?

Well I grew up in Houston Texas, if you know anything about the place you know its not cool to surf there, he he. I ended up moving out to L.A to act/model, then surfed once…from there surfing completely took over my life. Been surfing for about 2 years. I can’t believe how fast time goes when you’re having fun.

What’s it feel like being out there on the ocean, just you and the surfboard?

To be honest, it’s so surreal….so calming. When I surf I don’t think about anything. A lot of surfers will tell you its the most amazing thing they have ever discovered. I hardly ever go alone though. Usually me and my buddies kick it to the beach and catch some gnarly waves all day.

Have you/do you surf professionally?

I was sponsored by a local surf show called “action beach” they hooked it up with some free surf boards and I did some back drops for them. Was really fun overall!

What’s your favorite surfing maneuver (and describe it for those like me, who don’t know what the names mean)?

Well in surfing we don’t really have too much variety. My favorite maneuver would be a “snap” and it’s where you pipe down the wave and head back towards the top making a snapping action all the way back down. It’s extremely fun once you get the hang of it. You can use it to spray some water on the people that missed the wave ha-ha.

Your favorite place to surf is… and where would you like to surf that you haven’t?

Favorite place would have to be beacon in Encinitas, CA it was so relaxing and the waves are so heavy it makes it a challenge to ride them! Its usually not to busy but when a good swell hits watch out! If i could surf anywhere in the world it would have to be Hawaii!

Best surfing memory?

Oh my god ha-ha. How many things just went through my head? My favorite time would have to be when my brother came down to live with me and I had been teaching him how to surf for about a month and a huge swell came in. I asked him if he thought he was ready to take the big ones. He smiled at me and said he was born ready! We ended up both catching this unbelievably HUGE wave together! Got barreled and were both just screaming at each other HAHA! Wow just the thought brings a smile to my face.

What has surfing taught you that’s helped you in your life?

Surfing has taught me so many things. One thing it has taught me was to respect the Earth we all live on. I cannot believe what we are doing to ocean… It’s amazing how much you actually learn when you start looking for best water quality to surf in. You end up stumbling on a lot of things. Every year the ocean is being filled with massive pollution and is rapidly decreasing ocean life all over the world. This year 1000s of dolphins will die, a lot of beautiful reefs will be destroyed because of underwater gas lines. Knowing all of this has made me a stronger person and made me understand that we have to stand up for our earth. Take responsibility for our actions and work together to make the world a clean non toxic environment.

Tell us a little bit about the board and wetsuits and how that all works.

Let’s see… it’s usually best to start on a larger board as you get better its good to switch to a smaller size because it’s faster and more maneuverable.  As for the wetsuit they come in all shapes and sizes ha-ha just put it on and zip it up. Your set, get ready to have the time of your life!
Thanks soooooooooo much Blake for helping me out.  Blake was really helpful and easy to work with and made my first interview a real joy.  Plus, I picked up a little about the sport and enjoyed getting to know Blake a lil better.  Soon, I hope to have Mattys look at hockey, so watch for it!

My race horse by Chadwick

April 3, 2006
Chadwick

As some of you may know I invested in a standard bred race horse back in January. It’s taken up quite a bit of my time and money for that matter lol. It wasn’t something I fell into, but rather something that has been in my family for some time. My grandfather had quite a few race horses back in the early 60′s and on into the early 80′s. Last winter my parents purchased their first horse “Belles Arrow” who did rather well her first year out. In only 5 starts she came in first twice, second once, and third twice. Her summer ended early suffering from a knee injury. It was pretty exciting watching her race and getting into the race business.

This past Jan. I had the opportunity to purchase a colt out of the Ohio sire Nobleland Sam. He sold for $9,000 back at the sale in September however I was able to get him a bit cheaper. The guy thought he had EPM because he was clumbsy in the rear in so they just wanted to get rid of him. I bought him and my trainer later realized he had two black chords preventing blood flow. We had him cut and ever since then he has shown nothing, but improvement. He is already trained down to 2:27 which is about a month ahead of other horses. When I first got him he was named “Ira’s Sunny Sam” I later changed it to what it is now “Boondock Sam”.
